Are You Wanting To Add A Bit Of Christmas Spirit To Your Website? Well Here’s How….
Your WordPress site is the home of your business online and during this time of the year you decorate your home with Christmas decorations. So it only makes sense to do the same to your online home. Why not add a snow fall to your website?
Have you noticed it’s snowing on our website? Our festive weather began on the 1st of December and it’s forecasted to carry on throughout Christmas.
By adding snowfall to your website, it’ll give your visitors a festive feel when they come across your site. So if you’re interested in adding this feature to your website, read our step by step instructions below and enjoy the snowfall!
How To Make It Snow!
Installing the plugin
The first step obviously has to be installing the plugin.
To do this, simply log into the WordPress dashboard for your website, select “Plugins” on the left hand side of your screen, select “Add New”, search for “WP Snow Effect” in the search bar and install the plugin. Once it’s installed you have to active it by clicking the active button. At this point the snow will have started on your website.
However, you can now edit the size, colour and speed of your snowfall.
Editing your snowfall
If you hover over the “Settings” tab on the left of your screen you’ll notice that there is now an option for your “WP Snow Effect”. If you click this, it’ll take you to the settings of the plugin.
From here you’ll be able to:
- Choose the number of flakes
- Minimum Falling Speed
- Maximum Falling Speed
- Minimum Flake Size
- Maximum Flake Size
- Snow Vertical Size
- If you want the snowflakes to fade away
- Which pages you would like the snowfall effect on
- The colour of your flakes
If you upgrade to the “PRO version” you’ll also be able to choose specific pages that the feature will show on. You’ll also be able to choose other items to fall including stars and snowmen.
Once you’ve decided on everything, just click “save changes” at the bottom of your page.
We hope this helped spread some Christmas joy to your website!
